Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui seeks athletes for new Athlete Advisory Group

12 September 2025

The Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui is establishing its first Athlete Advisory Group (AAG) - and expressions of interest are now open.

We’re seeking current and former high-performance athletes of all ages who are committed to building a culture of fair, safe, and inclusive sport in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The AAG will bring an independent athlete voice into all aspects of our mahi, helping ensure that integrity remains at the heart of sport. Whether your interests lie in anti-doping, competition manipulation, safeguarding, or simply championing fairness in sport, this is your opportunity to help shape the system for the better.

As a member of the AAG, you will:

  • Provide insights into the athlete experience

  • Help shape our work and responses to integrity issues

Who can apply

To be eligible, you must be an active or recently retired athlete who has competed in sport within the past decade, at regional, national, or international level.

This is a paid role, in recognition of the time and expertise of AAG members, and no previous governance experience is required.

We’re committed to ensuring the AAG reflects the diversity of New Zealand’s athlete community, and we encourage applications from athletes who identify as:

  • Māori and Pacific

  • Women
