At the Commission, we employ people in permanent and fixed-term positions, with most of the team based in Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau. We also work with a team of independent contractors within our education delivery and anti-doping testing field teams nationally.

Director - Enablement

About the role

The Director – Enablement is a critical new role in the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for building and leading the internal systems and services that will support the Commission’s delivery and long-term sustainability. This is a high-impact, executive-level opportunity to design and implement the organisational foundations of a future-focused Crown entity. 

This includes leading a full review of the Commission’s technology and systems landscape and delivering a new digital and information strategy, reshaping our communications and community engagement function, and establishing a high-performing business services group aligned to the Commission’s operating needs and values.

Director - Operations

About the role

The Director – Operations is a critical senior role responsible for delivering the Commission’s core public-facing services. These include anti-doping testing and related services, triage and resolution of complaints, investigations, and intelligence. 

This is a rare opportunity to lead frontline operations for a newly established public entity and play a national leadership role in building trust, fairness, and safety across sport and recreation in Aotearoa.

Director - Capability

About the role

This new Director – Capability role is part of the Commission’s Senior Leadership Team and plays a vital role leading system uplift across learning, capability, insights, and safeguarding. This includes oversight of sector organisations adopting the new Integrity Code.

One of the immediate priorities for this role will be to lead the implementation of a new learning strategy and supporting delivery model – building the foundations for integrity capability in Aotearoa that is accessible, impactful, and grounded in evidence, adult learning principles and inclusion. 

This is a rare opportunity to shape national change and partner with organisations at all levels to create safer, fairer, and more inclusive experiences for participants, communities and whānau.

Anti-doping chaperones - multiple regions

About the role

The Chaperone is a key person within the Sample Collection Team. They are at the forefront of the testing programme and play a critical role in supporting the fight against doping in sports by notifying and witnessing the collection of urine samples from athletes.  As an accredited Sport Integrity Commission Chaperone, your responsibility will be to ensure that the doping control process is conducted ethically, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant anti-doping regulations.

The nature of our work is unpredictable; therefore, successful candidates will have flexibility across days of the week (especially weekends) and in the early mornings, daytime, and evenings.

This contractor position would suit individuals looking for work in addition to their day-to-day role or activities who would not rely on this mahi as a sole source of income.  Retired individuals, first responders, health professionals, students, and those with flexible schedules are encouraged to apply.

Field team expression of interest

Our field teams are at the heart of our work. There are two types of role:

  • Sample Collection Personnel (SCP): Our SCP deliver our testing programme. The role

  • Educators: Our educators are current or former NZ athletes with a commitment to clean, fair sport.
