Rebecca Rolls, Chief Executive of the Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui, has been elected to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) Expert Advisory Group, representing the Oceania region alongside Chris Butler, Sport Integrity Australia’s Head of Anti-Doping Operations.
The Group brings together representatives from national anti-doping organisations across the world to share insights, address emerging challenges and make sure that regional perspectives inform WADA’s global work. Ten members are elected to serve three-year terms - two from each of the five Olympic and Paralympic regions.
Rebecca expressed her enthusiasm for the role and the work ahead.
“I’m excited and proud to work with our friends across the ditch to represent and support anti-doping mahi in our region. There’s a lot we can learn and share when we collaborate internationally. It’s vital that an Oceania perspective is heard and I look forward to working with Chris and our other EAG members to make sure relevant voices are reflected in WADA’s work.”
Members of the NADO Expert Advisory Group are voted in for three years terms by eligible NADOs globally. Registration and voting are high, with 95.8% of organisations voting across all regions.
Rebecca’s appointment reflects the Commission’s strong commitment to international collaboration and the ongoing mahi to strengthen integrity and anti-doping systems across Aotearoa and the Pacific.
